What is prayer and why do you pray?

Prayer is a passion:

The passion of your heart will come true in your prayer. The apostles had a passion for Jesus, saying: “But we will persevere in prayer and the ministry of the Word.” [Acts. 6: 4].

Paul prayed day and night for his fellow believers because he had a passion for them. He did not regard it as a religious obligation, but as the sincere desire of his heart. Your prayer life tells you a lot about your heartfeltness!

You can apply the following quotes in your prayer life:

“Prayer is acknowledgment to God; A sense of His greatness and goodness; to truly experience it so that it can bring us to a change of heart with regard to our true position of privilege and disposition so that we can grow in mercy and grow in godliness to glorify Him as our Father.

“Let us labor so that our lives can affect others, that they can see Christ in us and also want to experience His wonderful grace.

“Let us really consciously acknowledge His work in our lives, but let us also allow Him to work through us so that God can be glorified – by our gratitude and thanksgiving”
